The case of Rosie Foale, who was denied a place at Bradley Stoke Community School, despite being able to see it from her house has been highlighted in the national press.
The Observer (*link to article requires free registration) carried the story on Sunday as part of a feature on school admissions policy.
The Sunday paper says there were 403 applications for just 180 spaces.
The article does carry some very interesting information about what is required when you apply for a school and is certainly worth a read in advance if you feel you might be in the same situation as Rosie.
Of course, thanks to a campaign by local MPs, the admission policy for BS Community School has changed for next year …
