BS32 gangs: Getting out of control?

Written by Chris (editor) on Tuesday December 19th, 2006 at 1:33 pm

The BBC reports that a gang of some 20 youths attacked four youngsters on Friday, 15 December.

The gang took the quartets’ shopping before giving them a split lip, a swollen and cut eye and a chipped tooth.

The incident comes as the Examiner hears of more and more petty criminal incidents across the town.

Only a few weeks before a set of gates were stolen from a primary school and several fences nearby were damaged.

The increasing amount of vandalism and petty crime in the town was discussed at November’s Town Council meeting. All incidents should be reported to the Police and also brought to the attention of BSTC (town.clerk@bradleystoke.gov.uk) who are monitoring the situation.

Shame the minutes for that meeting aren’t on the website yet. Details of the Bradley Stoke beat manager are on the police website if you want advice. Calling 0845 456 7000 and logging incidents in non-emergencies is also a good idea.

Either way, do tell us. We’re interested to hear moans on your number one town website …
