Running club Soul Sisters will be raising money for Cancer Research UK at this year’s Race for Life, reports the Evening Post.
Club chair, Karen Walsh, from Bradley Stoke, told the paper the event had a great atmosphere.
“It is a very emotional event and many of the women will shed some tears when they cross the finish line because they have worked so hard to do it.
“Many of them have never taken part in an event like this and there are some nerves on the starting line, but they have a feeling of elation when they finish.”
The club runs a beginners course for anybody who would like to run in the Race for Life.
