A man from Bradley Stoke performed in the final of a stand-up comedy competition where the ultimate prize was to perform at the Glastonbury Festival.

Jim MacLeod did his routine at Jongleurs Comedy Club in Bristol on Sunday, 11 March.

Jim, a professional toastmaster, made it through after entering his video to the BBC and surviving a public vote on their website.

He was even featured on regional TV programme Points West.

The final was won by Jared Hardy from Somerset.

Judges for the final included Chitty Chitty Bang Bang star Gary Wilmot and BBC radio presenter Dr Phil Hammond.

Jim’s audition video is available on the BBC’s website here. Pictures of Jim, and the other contestants, appear here.
