A long night, and thanks to all those who carried out the supervision of the polling and then the count in the evening/early morning. Finally finished at about 2am, but from my point of view a succesful end to a long day.

Final Result for town Council Seats was: Conservatives 13, Liberals 2.

I look forward to representing the people of Primrose Bridge over the next four years

    Congrats on your result, Mark.

Would be lovely to hear from some of the other elected councillors too … feel free to join in!

I agree with Mark a successful result in the Town Council elections for the Conservatives. However, let us not forget that councillors are there to represent the interests of all their parishioners irrespective of whether they voted for them or not.
Being a coucillor when it comes to representing the people must be classless, without prejudice and done without fear or favour.
Lets hope we see this in action.

Why is it that its only when these councillors want our vote that they come knocking on our doors asking us to let them know our concerns.
We wont hear from any now until they want our vote at the next election.

    Morgan,

I heartily agree with your sentiments. If I represented only those who voted for me, it would be a very small proportion of people. With over 3000 people eligible to vote, it works out at less that 16%.

The AGM is on Wednesday 9th May, so maybe people will come and see the new councillors in action
