Town centre work due to begin soon

Written by Chris (editor) on Wednesday May 9th, 2007 at 12:15 pm

Work is due to get under way on the new Tesco town centre development after new facilities for workers were brought in.

The firm has secured a temporary compound on Manor Farm Road and has sited two low-level buildings there for workers.

They will be used as rest facilities for the ecologists and archaeologists who will begin work on the development site.

They will “discharge some of the pre-start conditions” to the development which will see an enlarged Tesco more than a dozen new shops.

The supermarket is currently finalising the “technical aspects of the development” before work proper begins.
