Town centre: What should we call it?

Written by Chris (editor) on Monday May 21st, 2007 at 11:44 am

Tesco are considering a move to allow residents to name Bradley Stoke’s new town centre, and we’d like to hear what ideas you have.

Reports say that Tesco had several ideas including The Square but hadn’t yet made a final decision.

Bradley Stoke Town Council, at a planning meeting, asked the supermarket giant if they would consider letting the residents name the area.

It is thought that local schoolchildren could have the final say on any name - possibly choosing from a list of names from Tesco.

So what do you think the name should be? We would love to hear your suggestions - fill in the form below and get involved in the debate now.

I think the Three Brooks Pub might have something to say about that, given its proximity!

    What about ” Savage’s Centre”?
    Mmm, maybe not.

Something with the word “Park” or “Green” rather than “centre” sounds nicer….What about “Webb Park” or “Bradley Green” ?

A radical thought, but how about “Bradley Stoke Town Centre”?
