New owners for Bradley Stoke nursery

Written by dickon on Tuesday August 14th, 2007 at 2:24 pm

Five nurseries in Bristol - including one in Bradley Stoke - have been sold as part of a £31.2m deal, reports The Evening Post.

The Leapfrog chain has been bought by Busy Bees, part of the Australian group ABC Learning Centres.

Leapfrog has five outlets in the Greater Bristol area -  in Bradley Stoke, Stoke Gifford, Portishead, Weston and Emersons Green.

All five nurseries, which employ around 150 staff between them, will be renamed Busy Bees.

Lynn Woodward, managing director and one of the co-founders of Busy Bees, said: “This is fantastic news for Busy Bees, for the parents, children and staff at our new nurseries in Bristol as well as for the childcare sector as a whole.”
