The final stage of the Tesco town centre development finally cleared the planning department at South Gloucestershire Council, according to the Evening Post.
The paper, which has followed every step of the planning procedure, has done a lovely feature on Friday about the development.
They’ve also sought the views of the general public - but amazingly - none from Bradley Stoke!
Page 18 features pictures and the views of residents of Winterbourne (2), Patchway and Stoke Gifford (2).
So where are the views from the people it most directly affects? The article does include the views of local Councillor Jon Williams but nobody else.
We’d love to know what you think - is the new town centre going to end up being more for ‘out of towners’ that residents? Fill in the form below.

yes it is a good idea , but can the roads take so much traffic that it will introduce . Im dreading it when the people move in to those houses near big tesco , it means more extra cars in the rush hour times.

Ever since the site was sold to Tesco’s all we were ever going to get was a bigger Tesco with some add-ons as as sop to the council. If you want to see what it’s going to look like, they have done the same at one of the new developments in Peterborough. Huge Tesco, few high street name shops that won’t undercut/compete with Tesco, a pub and a Travelodge.
Anyway they probably spoke to the right sort of people about the development as these are just the sort of shoppers Tesco want to attract as most of Bradley Stoke only have Aldi as an alternative to Tesco so have to shop with them anyway!
