You’ve got to laugh at the bare-faced cheek of the latest scam doing the rounds in Bristol and South Gloucestershire, according to police.

A man has been knocking on doors claiming to have recently moved in and claiming he’s locked his keys in an electronic safe and needs money to top up his electric key.

Apparently he’s got away with cash of up to £30, promising to return, and offering a curry at a restaurant he’s claims he is linked with.
