John Hogan could make early return to UK

It appears John Hogan, who was cleared of murdering his son after throwing him from a balcony in Crete, could be back in the UK soon.

The Observer reported that Mr Hogan’s psychologist, Ioannis Nestoros, talked about “international agreements by which John can be transferred to the UK”.

He continued “… his lawyer tells me the British government has requested that he be returned to a psychiatric hospital there.”

Mr Hogan has spent the last 16 months in Athen’s Korydallos prison. He suffered broken limbs in the fall which his daughter, Mia, survived.

Update: Interestingly, the Foreign Office have played down suggestions he may return saying they’d have “heard about it” if he was coming back. Apparently he is to be seen by doctors in Athens before decisions are made and is currently back in a prison cell in the Greek capital.
