Emma Bone, the Liberal Democrats’ Parliamentary candidate for the upcoming Filton and Bradley Stoke seat, has quit.
Ms Bone, 24, was selected 18 months ago but has made the decision because of family reasons.
Lib Dem councillor Neil Hansell told the South Gloucestershire Observer: “I am personally very sad to be losing Emma but she has made her decision to move on for personal reasons.”
The new Filton and Bradley Stoke seat will be created at the next election through boundary changes.
