Children from Bradley Stoke Community School have been warned about the dangers when the leave at the end of the day following two recent incidents.
In the first, a year eight student was knocked down while crossing Bradley Stoke Way two weeks ago.
The student, a boy, only suffered minor injuries and managed to return home following the accident.
Headteacher Dave Baker, in the school newsletter, said: “It is a reminder to all students about the need to cross at the crossing points only and to pay attention to traffic.”
In the second recent incident concerns have been raised about a man following students who walk back via the duck pond in the Three Brooks Nature Reserve.
Parents are being encouraged to discuss with their children the best routes home and urged them not to walk alone.
