News of secondary school places – including information on whether your children got into Bradley Stoke Community School – hit the doormats on Tuesday.

In previous years the school has been heavily oversubscribed leading to disappointment for some students and parents.

The walking routes – used to determine who lives closest to the school – were redrafted two years ago after one student was denied a place despite being about to see the school from her house.

Since then, Bradley Stoke Community School has become a combined specialist centre for languages and performing arts.
