A Bradley Stoke resident is warning of the dangers of leaving keys near front doors after two cars and a van were stolen.

Thieves unscrewed the letterbox of on a house near Bailey’s Court, in the south of the town, and used a hook to steal the car keys.

They then drove the cars and van from the drive – the vehicles have not yet been recovered.

The incident took place between Monday evening and Tuesday morning while the owners were asleep in the house.

“It’s really upsetting when it happens to you, even worse when I thought Bradley Stoke was a good area,” the victim told The Bradley Stoke Examiner.

“Who knows what could have happened if one of us went downstairs in the middle of the night!”
