Street Briefings update …. Street Briefings update …. Street Briefings update

Our Street Briefing at Crystal Way on 27th February was a resounding success! The nicest thing about it was that neighbours met neighbours, issues were raised and its likely a new Neighbourhood Watch will be formed. Thank you to all who attended The main issue was parking. As a result we have declared a Zero Tolerance Month in that vicinity in regard to parking on the pavement and causing obstruction by parking exits to driveways. Fixed Penalties have been issued and strong words of advice to motorists dropping off children at Meadowbrook. This is an example of Community and Police Action together bringing results. Since Zero Tolerance began and Fixed Penalties were issued the problem has started to disappear.

Our next briefing is on 26th March at the Jubilee Centre Car Park, Savages Wood Road starting at 7.30pm whilst the following day we will be at Big Tescos all day for our “Have Your Say” day. Come and see us!

Who are the BSK? Can you help us?

The “BSK” graffiti “tag” is all over town, most particularly in the northern area around Bowsland Way, carrying on down to Brook Way. Information suggests they are the “Bradley Stoke Krew” local 15-16 year olds . Can you shed any light on who they are? When we identify them, buckets, soapy water and scrubbing brushes are waiting. ….

Vehicle Crime … again.

Sorry to have to repeat this topic once more but we are still experiencing problems in our area with residents continuing to leave their expensive items on view in their vehicles.

Despite the courts giving a custodial sentence to a local prolific vehicle crime offender during February, there are others around who want your Sat Nav or Stereo to sell for cash.

The owners of any vehicle we see with items of value on display including nice jackets and bags will receive letters from our Vulnerable Vehicle Scheme. Save us the stamp .. Put your stuff away!
