Liam Hogan inquest due to begin on Wednesday

The inquest into the death of six-year-old Liam Hogan is due to take place in Bristol on Wednesday.

Liam died in Crete in August 2006 when he fell from a hotel balcony with his father, John, and sister Mia, who was then aged two.

Mia and John survived the plunge and John later stood trial for murder but was cleared of any crime earlier this year.

The inquest throws up the possibility of an unlawful killing verdict and will hear from eyewitnesses who were not called at the Greek trial.

We’ll post coverage and links to other media sources on this website during Wednesday.
