The first signs of a new access road and roundabout at the Bradley Stoke town centre site have appeared.
The new road will run from just opposite the Three Brooks Pub, and to the left of the current road, to a mini roundabout which is the far side of the car park roundabout.
Workers have begun to build the kerbs and lay the tarmac along the new route for the centre.
In other developments, parts of the roof have begun to appear on the new Tesco supermarket building.
Meanwhile, work on the new petrol station is almost complete. The pumps are installed, the lights are working inside the shop and tarmac has been put down on the forecourt.
The petrol station is due to open in April while the supermarket has been slated for an autumn opening. The rest of the town centre will open in 2009.

By just parallel to the Three Brooks pub what do you mean exactly, as the current access road entrance is almost parallel to the pub?

Qwerty - if you stand on the pavement opposite the Three Brooks and look left you’ll see where the new road will go. It basically runs along the new large fence which has been put up in the past month.
So from the pavement, right is the pub, straight in front is the current road, left is the new road.
I’ve sorted out the wording on the story: as you rightly pointed out, it wasn’t very clear.

I was down there to day and I can now see what you meant. All I can say is that I feel sorry for the people in the new house/flat development next to the new entrance road, it is going to get VERY busy.
