Three Brooks pub plans new smoking shelter

Written by Chris (editor) on Monday April 7th, 2008 at 8:00 am

The Three Brooks pub has applied for planning permission for a smoking shelter at the front of the building.

The pub wants to build a covered “pergola” at the right of the front entrance made from timber posts and wooden joists.

Rain protection would be provided by polycarbonate sheets between the posts.

The pub is also planning on having outside heating for customers who, due to the smoking ban, are no longer able to smoke inside the building.

I feel it will benefit a lot of people who smoke, they will not have to go out into the cold and rain. I go to the Three Brooks every week and I smoke.
