A man from Bradley Stoke has denied murdering his wife at their home during the Christmas period, reports the Bristol Evening Post.

David Edwards, 48, appeared at Bristol Crown Court via video link to deny the charge of killing his wife, Michaela, at Oaktree Crescent in December 2007.

Judge John Foley remanded Mr Edwards in custody pending an upcoming trial and psychiatric report.
