Children take part in the Big Toddle as festival draws to a close

Written by Chris (editor) on Sunday June 8th, 2008 at 6:08 pm

About 30 children took part in a sponsored walk called the Big Toddle at Bailey’s Court in support of charity Barnardo’s and pre-school Playpitch.

The walk took place as this year’s Bradley Stoke Festival drew to a close with more activities including a brass band and a charity cricket match.

The cricket saw Bradley Stoke Cricket Club take on an all-star team including Mayor Robert Jones who did not disappoint the crowd, managing to engineer an impressive throw for a run-out.

The music was supplied by Bristol East & Kingswood Brass Band who provided music from the shade beneath a tree near the bowling green.
