Festival charity appeal raises almost £2,000 for mayor’s appeal

Almost £2,000 was raised for the mayor’s chosen charity, the National Association for Colitis and Crohn’s Disease (NACC), at the Bradley Stoke Festival.

Bradley Stoke Town Council says the fund for Robert Jones’ appeal stands at £1,877 and with money still arriving they hope to make £2,500.

Cllr Jones suffers from Crohn’s Disease and hopes that choosing the NACC will help raise awareness for the bowel condition.

“The festival was a fantastic success and several members of NACC’s Avon group attended to help with collections and promote the charity,” Cllr Jones said. “We are already planning future events which will feature NACC.”
