Some customers will see the first signs of faster broadband in Bradley Stoke in the next few weeks as customers are migrated to a new network.
Residents connected to the Almondsbury exchange in the north and south west of the town will be some of the first in the country on BT’s new Wholesale Broadband Connect (WBC) network.
Emails have been sent to customers of Entanet in the past week saying they will be transferred to the WBC system in the coming weeks.
WBC offers connection speeds of up to 24mbps but Bradley Stoke will see a much more modest rise in speed than this as the long length of the line from Almondsbury will affect the service.
Entanet and its resellers are currently the only providers offering services on WBC with packages due to go live soon.
