Efforts to reduce crime in nature reserve stepped up with police meeting

Police in Bradley Stoke are to step up their efforts to reduce crime problems in the Three Brooks Nature Reserve with a meeting planned for the end of September.

Officers will conduct a cycle trek around the reserve with members of the public who will have an opportunity to point out problem areas.

Topics highlighted by Avon & Somerset Police include nuisance motorbike riding, litter in the reserve and dog mess.

Motorbike riding has been a particular problem recently with numerous complaints and a strong warning from police saying bikes could be confiscated or crushed.

The meeting is planned for Sunday, 28 September 2008 at 4.30pm. Members of the public should meeting next to the duck pond with their push bikes.

Those who do not wish to ride around the reserve should meet at 5.30pm in the cafe area of Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre.
