Vandalism incidents continue to hit Bradley Stoke

More reports of vandalism and car crime are blighting Bradley Stoke – with both cars and trees now the target.

The news follows The Bradley Stoke Examiner’s story about inch-long nails being rammed into car tyres in the town.

The new incidents include two cars on Ellicks Close had their car stereos stolen during the weekend, another was targeted on Dewfalls Drive.

One resident told the Bristol Evening Post: “It’s normally a very quiet area so it’s quite distressing. The people who do this are spiteful.”

A police spokesman told the paper that local beat officer PC Steve Palmer is “aware that there may be more incidents which people are not telling us about”.

PC Palmer “has been tasking his PCSOs to get the message across to local residents to report any concerns so that we can address any potential problems.”

Elsewhere, recently planted trees along the edge of the Jubilee Green have been vandalised.

Anyone with information on vandalism incidents in Bradley Stoke is urged to report them on 0845 4567000.

It appears that Skate park, situated by Leisure Centre, is being used by ‘older’ youths WHO DO NOT SKATE OR HAVE SKATES OR BOARDS.
    The fence has been vandalised!
Rubbish they leave there ranges from beer bottles (sometimes smashed) through to all fast foods stuff, sweets & jelly pieces. Glass is all over the road to the rear and ‘all sorts’ of rubbish is thrown into the ditch alongside Savages Wood where they appear to gather as well!
Why cant the skate park be locked at night? It appears that these ‘persons’ have free roaming time in the evenings as no one is there to see that they uphold the councils rules re food & drink etc. not to be consumed within the park.Tax payers pay for their litter/rubbish to be cleaned up when ‘they’ don’t even place their dirt into the bin provided! Wet nosing youth does NOT produce good character people! If you keep a baby in nappies it will stay in nappies! Are we all afraid to put these children & youths in their place? Are we all willing to let them do as they want? I have never seen any police or council representatives there to enforce their rules & laws. Why are people afraid to say ‘NO’ to unruly persons? Youth travel frquently from Yate as can be seen by the rail tickets found there along with the small plastic, whacky Baccy’ bags.
