Police in Bradley Stoke were called out to a sighting of a lion reported to be roaming around the town.
The BBC reports that the lion was seen by staff at the NHS Direct centre in the north of Bradley Stoke on Wednesday.
Eyewitnesses say they saw an animal with “large paws, a long tail and a loping walk”.
The incredible tale even saw the police helicopter called out to investigate at around 8pm.
Did you see the ‘lion’? Were you a witness? Did you take any pictures? Let us know by e-mailing news@sadlybroke.com

Will I be safe walking up from Bailey’s Court end to the library for the next week or so?
Should I take my longbow with me and plenty of arrows?
Should the kids go down to the woods?
We may joke about this but there are plenty of bushes and undergrowth for animals to hide in

Surely the police helicopter would of spotted it when it was called out on Tuesday evening? I think we are all safe to walk around Bradley Stoke myself!

We didn’t see a lion, but there’s a big tame bunny rabbit with a COLLAR (yes really) on hopping about in the woods behind Juniper Way. Anyone lost one!

Dunno if it’s of any interest but a friend of my partner’s mum said as she was walking in the woods (around orpheus ave) this morning and came upon some rather large puddles of blood! According to her it was blocked off with police lines later in the day…haven’t seen it myself, don’t fancy a walk in the woods!
