New Bradley Stoke bike store is set for grand opening

Bradley Stoke’s latest store is opening on Saturday – a bike store at The Willow Brook Centre.

Giant Bikes, who already have shops in the city centre, Bedminster and Downend – will begin trading in the closest unit to Bradley Stoke Way.

The opening weekend will also feature a prize draw for a new £500 bike.

The only confirmed retailer left yet to open at the centre is Pets at Home.

A bit of a disappointment really. It feels more like a car dealership than a bike shop.

The new shop sells lots and lots of bikes, and then a few more for good measure.

However it sells very little clothing, very few accessories and, except for seats, there are no spare parts visible at all.

I already have a bike and won’t be buying another for a few years yet. However I ride a fair but and have to buy a lot of spares and accessories.

I’m a bit disappointed to have a bike shop in Bradley Stoke and still have to drive miles across Bristol to get to a *real* bike shop.

Indeed. I should point out that the staff seem knowledgeable and friendly enough. Even if the item you were looking for is nowhere in sight.

I think I’ll be sticking to the many good bike shops on the Gloucester Rd / Cheltenham Rd!

The shop are far too up market and only sell Giant bikes, not the ideal for this area, I don’t think they will do well, is not my type of bike shop, it should mixed some up & lower end product.

Is it that that particular retail company just provide that type of service or as time goes on they will start providing more for the local market when they know what it is that is needed? Maybe the manager might like to come on and let us know his plans for this one particular store
