Broadband in Bradley Stoke is supplied by either telephone lines from the Filton and Almondsbury exchanges or via Virgin Media cable.

  • Virgin Media

Virgin, previously Telewest, has cabled much of the town but there are pockets where it is not available, especially in the newer parts of Bradley Stoke.

You can check coverage from the cable company by visiting this page.

Speeds on Virgin reach 50mb and, where available, are considerably faster than broadband by phone lines.

  • Almondsbury exchange

The BT exchange in Almondsbury serves much of the north and west of Bradley Stoke and, if you are close enough, can provide theoretical speeds of 24mb – although in practice you will find it much lower than this.

Some areas of the town, which are more than three miles from Almondsbury, see speeds of closer 3mb – sometimes lower.

Almodsbury, though, has been converted to BT’s Wholesale Broadband Connect which has given a recent, and welcome, speed boost.

Both Orange and TalkTalk (Carphone Warehouse) provide unbundled (separate from BT) services.

  • Filton exchange

If you live in the south east of Bradley Stoke and in Little Stoke you are likely to be connected to Filton.

Here you will find a variety of unbundled services such as Sky and TalkTalk.
