On the day the government released its report in Digital Britain, the problems faced by Bradley Stoke’s poor broadband speed have featured in the Guardian.
The report, by Stephen Morris, gives a nod to The Bradley Stoke Examiner which has been campaigning for faster speeds.
The town suffers from being too far away from the Almondsbury and Filton exchanges – the further away you are, the slower internet speeds get.
Virgin Media have partially cabled the town and have said they will finish the roll out if enough people e-mail them.
Mr Morris’s report says: “The Bradley Stoke Examiner has called on people to send in their experiences (by email, which could be a problem for some) to put pressure on BT to improve the service.”
