With just over a week to go before the local elections things seem to have gone strangely quiet in Bradley Stoke.
South Gloucestershire was named the country’s most boring election area by the BBC’s Politics Show - and the Examiner is beginning to wonder if they’re correct.
Here at HQ we have not had a single caller from any of the political parties in the past two months and no leaflets for more than two weeks.

The Southern Brooks Partnership has been awarded a £50,000 grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to run a history project with schools in Bradley Stoke and Patchway.
Conservation groups will work with the children to identify historically important buildings and discover more about the past.
They will then work with a potter to create permanent markers on stone and ceramic at these sites which should be in place before summer 2008.
Some of the effort of the project will also look at what Bradley Stoke was like before the town was built 20 years ago.
The grant will provide a full time member of staff to co-ordinate the project.
The Southern Brooks group will meet on Monday, 30 April at 12.30pm to discuss how to take the project forward. The open meeting will take place at Patchway Town Council Office on Rodway Road, Patchway.

The team behind Bradley Stoke Matters has launched a new website to compliment their free magazine.
The website features lots of useful new information including what’s ons, a business directory for the town and listings for groups and clubs.
Jaci and Alison from ‘Matters’ told the Examiner: “We are both really excited to launch www.bradleystokematters.co.uk as an enhancement and online support to the Bradley Stoke Matters magazine.
“We hope everyone out there will find it a really useful source of community information and log on regularly to keep in touch with what’s going on in our town.”
The pair added that the website, as well as providing a download of the latest magazine, would also act as an extension to the publication: “There is always so much happening in Bradley Stoke that the magazine often doesn’t have space to fit it all in!
“We have therefore designed the website to show a four week calendar of upcoming events, to expand on some of the community articles covered in the magazine, and to provide an online directory of local services available as well as an online source of regular community groups and activities. We really hope you like it!”

The headteacher of Bradley Stoke Community School says expanding the number of pupils would “be to the detriment of local secondary schools”.
The Evening Post reports that Dave Baker sent a letter home to parents in a bid to distance the school from the current political fight to expand it.
The letter said: “We would like to distance ourselves from suggestions that the school should increase its capacity for 11- to 16-year-olds, which would undermine the infrastructure within the school to provide a coherent experience for our students.
“It would hamper the possible provision of a post-16 centre and would be to the detriment of local secondary schools.”
Liberal Democrat councillor Jon Williams has called for an expansion to the school despite an all-party agreement to limit numbers to 900.
The Conservatives have been fighting for a post-16 centre to be based alongside the school.
