Town centre road moves for next stage of development

April 13th, 2008 · 1 Comment

A new route into the Bradley Stoke town centre development has opened meaning motorists must now drive around the edge of the building site to park at Tesco.

The new town square and shops are due to be built on the site of the original route into the car park which ran past the disused petrol station - due to be demolished soon.

Motorists will now enter from the roundabout on Savages Wood Road and will turn left alongside the new petrol station.

The route follows the new fence, which runs behind Manor Farm Crescent and Hedgerows, to a new mini roundabout and then into the old car park.

Bus users will also be affected by the changes with the town centre bus stop being moved to Savages Wood Road near the pedestrian crossing.

Shortly after the supermarket closed on Sunday the old route was blocked and new one opened.
