More reports of vandalism and car crime are blighting Bradley Stoke – with both cars and trees now the target.
The news follows The Bradley Stoke Examiner’s story about inch-long nails being rammed into car tyres in the town.
The new incidents include two cars on Ellicks Close had their car stereos stolen during the weekend, another was targeted on Dewfalls Drive.
One resident told the Bristol Evening Post: “It’s normally a very quiet area so it’s quite distressing. The people who do this are spiteful.”
A police spokesman told the paper that local beat officer PC Steve Palmer is “aware that there may be more incidents which people are not telling us about”.
PC Palmer “has been tasking his PCSOs to get the message across to local residents to report any concerns so that we can address any potential problems.”
Elsewhere, recently planted trees along the edge of the Jubilee Green have been vandalised.
Anyone with information on vandalism incidents in Bradley Stoke is urged to report them on 0845 4567000.

Bradley Stoke police are appealing for victims who have had their car tyres damaged by nails.
The appeal follows The Bradley Stoke Examiner’s exclusive story which told of the problem in the town.
Avon and Somerset Police say they have had four reports of nails being driven into tyres on Saxon Way – although the Examiner has had reports from further afield.
One family, officers say, have had five tyres damaged in this way.
PC Steven Palmer said: “After speaking to the first victim, myself and Police Community Support Officer Jason Green leafleted and spoke to other residents. We warned people to check their tyres before driving and encouraged more victims to come forward.
“This is not a prank – this sort of damage to car tyres could easily result in a driver losing control of the vehicle. Those responsible are reckless to the fact that people could be hurt as a result of their actions.
“I would ask anyone who has any information about those responsible to contact the Neighbourhood Team at Filton Police Station on 0845 456 7000.”
