Snow leads to day off for many Bradley Stoke students

Another downfall of snow over Bradley Stoke on Thursday saw many of the town’s school’s closed.

St Marys, Wheatfield and Bailey’s Court Primary schools all fell to the weather as did the secondary community school.

Icy conditions are expected to take hold overnight into Friday with warnings of treacherous roads for rush hour.

Bradley Stoke has seen more wintery weather with snow falling and more expected over the next few days.

Here, we have photos from the duck pond at the Three Brooks Nature Reserve thanks to reader Luke James.

The snow fell on Bradley Stoke – finally – on Monday afternoon with the Three Brooks Nature Reserve under a blanket of white.

During the afternoon local schoolchildren took the opportunity to toboggan down some of the many slopes.

Forecasters say there could be yet more snow on Monday night and Tuesday.

Snow watch: Bradley Stoke expecting an overnight dusting

A dusting of snow is expected across Bradley Stoke and the city of Bristol over the next 24 hours – and we want your photos.

snow_trainThe Met Office has already issued an early warning of ‘extreme weather’ for Monday.

South West England and Wales has a 60% risk of heavy snow with accumulations of 5-10cm possible.

If there is snow overnight we would like to see your photos for a gallery on this website.

During the day, we’ll have any news about closures or problems on this website.
