Ahead of Wednesday’s crunch meeting to decide the fate of youth services in Bradley Stoke – we want to know who you think should run them.
Sources are reporting that the town council is to withdraw funding from the Southern Brooks Partnership in favour of the district council.
But councillors have now been told a tendering process must be carried out meaning a a gap of several months before a new provider is found.
The town council is due to meet on Wednesday at the Jubilee Centre to decide what to do after the Southern Brooks contract expires.
Meanwhile, managers of the Southern Brooks have called on residents to contact their local councillors to ensure their views are taken into account.

An appeal has been launched to help make Christmas better for families in the South Gloucestershire area who are having financial problems.

The Southern Brooks Family Support Team has begun its annual campaign for donations of tinned food, rice, pasta and other long-life foods.
The team says some luxury items such as chocolates, mince pies and non-alcoholic drinks will also be accepted but fresh goods and alcohol cannot be taken.
Last year, the team was able to help supply more than 15 hampers of food to local families and help make Christmas better for families that cannot afford it.
Donations can be made at the Jubilee Centre in Savages Wood Road, Bradley Stoke, until Friday, 12 December 2008.

A new course organised by the Southern Brooks Partnership, aimed at introducing participants to community development work, begins on November 5.
The eight-week course aims to teach an understanding of community work, helping to get people involved and onside and effective communication teachniques.
There will also be a chance to find out the best ways to get people working as a group.
The partnership says no previous experience is needed and that previous participants on this course have gone onto paid community development work.
Julie Snelling, Director of Southern Brooks Community Partnership said: “This course has been designed specifically to empower inexperienced people to become more active in their community.
“Building community spirit improves the lives of everyone and being part of a project that can enrich the area in which you live, can give a great deal of satisfaction.”
The course takes place from 9.30am – 4.00pm at the Greenfield Centre in Winterbourne.

A talent show due to be held in Bradley Stoke next week has been cancelled until the new year due to “time constraints”.
Organisers, posting on this website, have said such as the loss of ”some of our main organisers for an extended period at a vital time in the project” led to the postponement.
Project co-ordinator Stuart Mac apologised for the cancellation saying “we would not do the talented entrants justice by holding the show as planned”.
A new date for the project will be decided for “early 2009″.

A new youth centre could be built at Bradley Stoke Community School thanks to a partnership between South Gloucestershire Council and the Southern Brooks Community Partnership.
The two organisations are seeking views from young people living in the town and want to know what facilities any new building should have and what it could look like.
They are also looking for people in the town who have architectural skills, business planning skills and accountancy skills who would like to help out with the project.
Youths who are interested in shaping the project should get in touch with Youth Development Manager Ruth Cornish on 01454 868571 or via ruthcornish@sbcommunitypartnership.org.uk
Adults who are interested in helping out with the project should get in touch with Southern Brooks Partnership Director Julie Snelling on 01454 868570.
Note: We made a correction on this article about where the funding would come from – thanks to Councillor Jon Williams for pointing out the mistake.
