Bradley Stoke police have told motorcyclists they could have their bikes crushed if they ride them in the Three Brooks Nature Reserve .
The warning comes after complaints from residents, living alongside the reserve, about the nuisance riding.
Officers say youths, often without helmets, are scrambling around the duck pond near to Juniper Way.
PC Michael Friis said: “These youngsters are putting themselves at risk, and endangering the children and walkers who visit this popular site.
“If anyone does get hurt, it would be very difficult to get medical help onto the site.
“There are no rights of way for vehicles across this reserve. Only pedal cycles and walkers are permitted.
“Anyone caught riding any sort of motorbike in the nature reserve could find their vehicle seized and even crushed by police.”
Officers from the Bradley Stoke beat have now stepped up high-visibility patrols around the nature reserve.
